DVPSTA'S HONOR CODE

DVPSTA Honor Code

As a student of the DVPSTA training program, I am dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct. I recognize that my actions reflect not only on my personal character but also on the reputation of DVPSTA and the value of the education I receive. In alignment with DVPSTA's commitment to excellence, I pledge to uphold the following principles:

  1. Integrity: I will complete all assignments, exams, and other academic work honestly and truthfully. I understand that presenting someone else's work as my own is a violation of academic integrity. I commit to accurately representing my efforts and knowledge in all my submissions.

  2. Accountability: I will take full responsibility for my actions and their consequences. I understand that it is my duty to adhere to the guidelines and expectations set forth by my instructors and the DVPSTA program. If I make a mistake or fall short, I will own up to it and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation.

  3. Respect: I will show respect for my instructors, peers, and the learning environment. This includes engaging in constructive dialogue, being open to diverse perspectives, and fostering a collaborative and supportive academic community. I will treat all members of the DVPSTA community with courtesy and consideration.

  4. Compliance: I will adhere to all rules and regulations established by DVPSTA. I understand that any form of cheating, plagiarism, or dishonesty is a violation of the Honor Code and will not be tolerated. I commit to following the policies related to academic conduct, including those concerning the proper use of resources and the citation of sources.

  5. Commitment to Learning: I will actively engage in my learning process, striving to gain a deep understanding of the material and to apply it effectively. I will seek help when needed and provide assistance to others in a manner consistent with the principles of academic integrity.

  6. Confidentiality: I will respect the confidentiality of the examination process and the proprietary information of DVPSTA. I will not share exam questions, answers, or any other materials that are meant to be kept secure.

Repercussions for Violating the Honor Code

I understand that violating the DVPSTA Honor Code can result in serious consequences. Potential repercussions include, but are not limited to:

  1. Academic Sanctions: This can include receiving a failing grade on an assignment, exam, or course.
  2. Disciplinary Actions: These may involve formal reprimands, probation, suspension, or expulsion from the DVPSTA program.
  3. Revocation of Certification: If the violation is discovered after certification, DVPSTA reserves the right to revoke any certifications awarded.
  4. Notification of Employer: In cases involving professional misconduct, DVPSTA may inform your current or prospective employer of the violation.
  5. Legal Action: In instances of severe misconduct, such as fraud or theft of proprietary information, legal action may be pursued.

By adhering to this Honor Code, I am committed to contributing to a culture of trust, respect, and academic excellence within the DVPSTA training program. I understand that maintaining these standards is essential for my personal growth, the integrity of the program, and the value of the certification I seek to obtain.
